About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Procurement Manager - Sea Freight to join our team in Singapore. This role will be responsible for all aspects of sea freight procurement, including day-to-day procurement support, system support on costing, GP analysis, and GP improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining local FAK rates with carriers on a monthly basis
  • Providing key client rate support
  • Supporting FCL procurement managers and backing up LCL procurement teams
  • Handling RFQs and ocean freight, trucking, and warehousing enquiries from commercial teams and networks
  • Managing sea freight trucking subcontractors
  • Acting as a superuser for the team in terms of costing in CW1
  • Maintaining vendors' credit
  • Providing GPM and CW1 system support

GP Analysis

  • Analyzing high and loss GP within seafreight products by customer and port pairs
  • Analyzing loss shipments/accounts to determine appropriate actions for turnaround
  • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity and GP control across seafreight commercial and operational functions
  • Developing profit share from partner countries and accounts
  • Performing audits on profit share and carrier choices

Reporting

  • Monitoring and analyzing GP and volume trends
  • Generating ad-hoc reports as assigned

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A diploma in accountancy or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Team player with a positive and resilient attitude
  • Meticulous and independent with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Good integrity and credibility

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is SGD $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical insurance, retirement savings plan, and career development opportunities.
