Data Center Operations Specialist

Job Description:

This role oversees the smooth operation of data center facilities, ensuring daily operations and maintenance are carried out to the highest standard. This includes routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance works on M&E systems, monitoring and operating building management systems (BMS), power monitoring systems, and other facility-related software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying issues or areas for improvement in data center infrastructure and equipment, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

They will also monitor and operate building management systems (BMS), power monitoring systems, and other facility-related software to ensure optimal system performance and minimize downtime.

Additionally, they will oversee the daily operations of the data center facility, including inspections, site walks, vendor coordination, and resolving operational issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma from a recognized tertiary establishment in Facility Management / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Building Services.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in facilities management, with at least 1 year in a Data Centre Management.
  • Class 3 driving license will have added advantage.
  • Experience in Data Centre Facility Management (DCFM) and CDFOS will be preferred.
  • FSM / other FM and Safety related certificates will have added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal soft skills and verbal & written communication.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of maintenance and contracts.
  • Can start work immediately will be an advantage.
