Lead Culinary Innovation Specialist

As a Lead Culinary Innovation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading our culinary innovation initiatives and menu development. We seek an accomplished and visionary R&D chef with extensive expertise in Hunan cuisine to lead research, development, and creation of new dishes, refine existing recipes, ensure consistency and presentation, and collaborate with procurement to source high-quality ingredients.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Hunan cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles, allowing them to create innovative dishes that balance authenticity with creativity. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading research and development of new dishes and refining existing recipes.
  • Ensuring consistency and presentation of all dishes.
  • Collaborating with procurement to source high-quality ingredients.
  • Conducting regular tasting sessions, gathering feedback, and adjusting recipes accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 10 years specializing in Hunan cuisine.
  • Proven track record in R&D and menu innovation for restaurants or F&B groups.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Ability to balance authenticity with creativity to appeal to diverse customer bases.
  • Proficiency in kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and cost control.
