Food and Beverage Leadership Role

The Assistant Director of Food and Beverage is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the strategic development and implementation of food and beverage operations.

About the Job

This key role oversees the overall direction, management, and coordination of all food and beverage activities across the property. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and Executing Business Strategies
    • Collaborate with direct reports to create and implement innovative promotions, menu items, and presentations that align with brand standards.
    • Develop a comprehensive food and beverage operating strategy that supports the company's business objectives and drives revenue growth.
    • Ensure seamless integration of departmental goals into business plans.
  • Leading Food and Beverage Teams
    • Foster regular communication among team members to ensure effective collaboration and achieve common goals.
    • Work closely with direct reports to review financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
    • Monitor staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs.
    • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Provide constructive feedback to employees based on observed behaviors.
  • Driving Revenue Growth
    • Analyze financial reports to determine the effectiveness of food and beverage operations against budget.
    • Evaluate cash control and liquor control policies to ensure compliance and minimize losses.
    • Promote calculated risk-taking to generate incremental revenue and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ensuring Exceptional Guest Service
    • Create a welcoming atmosphere in all food and beverage outlets that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
    • Review comment cards, guest satisfaction surveys, and other feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement.
    • Pursue opportunities to enhance service quality and delivery.
  • Managing Human Resources
    • Administer property policies fairly and consistently.
    • Conduct annual performance evaluations with direct reports according to established procedures.
    • Communicate and execute emergency procedures as needed.
    • Select qualified candidates to join the food and beverage leadership team who possess strong functional expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial leadership skills.
