Construction Supervisor Position

A Construction Supervisor oversees daily site operations, supervising and leading a construction crew to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and meet specifications.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Site Supervision: Direct and manage construction workers, ensuring efficiency and productivity on-site.
  • Crew Management: Provide clear instructions, delegate tasks, and maintain workforce performance.
  • Safety Oversight: Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and address issues promptly.

Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to optimize daily site operations.
  • Maintain adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage with subcontractors and suppliers.

Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Identify and address issues promptly to prevent defects and rework.
  • Work closely with the project manager to resolve quality concerns and ensure compliance with building codes.

Schedule and Productivity Management:
  • Manage task completion according to project timelines and work schedules.
  • Track progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain the schedule.
  • Coordinate with other trades and workers to ensure smooth activity execution.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, materials used, and workforce attendance.
  • Report significant issues, delays, or changes to the project manager or construction manager.
  • Document incidents or accidents on-site and follow proper reporting protocols.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in construction supervision or a similar role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, blueprints, materials, and building codes.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of workers.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making abilities to resolve issues that may arise during the construction process.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordination with workers, subcontractors, and management.
  • Time Management: Ability to organize work tasks efficiently, manage time well, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, standing or walking for long hours.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and engage in physical tasks as required on-site.
  • Ability to perform site inspections and identify potential safety hazards or issues with the work.
