Program Manager

Abbott is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead analytical and data-related projects in the EU and Asia Region. The successful candidate will drive business value using agile project management principles, achieve cost, scope, and schedule targets, and leverage regional strengths and resources to meet business goals across Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine client functional requirements and prepare project scope in terms of performance, quality, reliability, and maintainability in agreement with the client and other functions.
- Develop project execution strategy, identify activities, prepare schedules, evaluate risks, prepare risk mitigation plans, and determine resources necessary for successful implementation.
- Evangelize data-driven decisions and manage project teams to develop project proposals, design criteria, scope definition, cost estimates, and execution schedules.
- Lead project teams to ensure full compliance with internal and external standards, including company standards, national and regional standards, and safety and EHS standards.
- Communicate project status to senior management and other internal and external parties, routinely.
- Facilitate regional perspective to manufacturing process design in agreement with local and national standards and manufacturing capabilities.
- Provide process engineering and project management support to regional manufacturing operations and act as primary liaison with E&IT Global Engineering Groups.
- Understand and assess regional impact of specific technologies and engineering practices.
- Provide expert engineering guidance and support to manufacturing operations across Asian Nutritional Sites to resolve issues during project execution and routine manufacture.
- Work with sites to develop Long Range Plan and Site Master Plans aligned with larger goals of the division and corporation.
- Lead and/or provide guidance to sites in Front End Planning activities, including development of project scope, design, and cost estimates, schedule development, and project execution plans.
- Maintain clear communication lines with all sites to ensure consistent deployment of best-in-class practices and equipment.
- Plan and schedule work in accordance with plant demands and available resources.
- Lead proposed manufacturing scenarios for new product introductions to determine manufacturability, capital cost, and schedule issues, and identify capital requirements to manufacture these products when required.
- Interface with Asia regional R&D center to align on upcoming and future product trends that could impact manufacturing.
- Assess contract manufacturing facilities for their ability to manufacture products and provide recommendations for process upgrades if required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or IT.
- Masters Degree in Business Analytics, desirable but not required.
- Substantial Agile Project Management and Product Management experience, along with Project Management certification, provides the necessary background to be successful in this role.
- Preferably 5 years Agile Project Engineering, Engineering-related work, or applicable business experience is required.
- At least 5-7 years Project structured work experience, such as a project engineer, consultant, project team member, etc.
- The Program Manager must have a working knowledge of engineering functions, cost control systems, and scheduling techniques.
- Good human relations and outstanding presentation skills are essential to successfully interface with Executive Management at the Company, manage team members in a Matrix environment, and successfully deal with external suppliers.
