Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a skilled Tile Specialist.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to work on various tiling projects, including residential and commercial buildings. As a Tile Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining high-quality tile surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, and other areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and in tight corners using power and hand tools.
  2. Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar with precision and accuracy.
  3. Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels, and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise.
  4. Cut, install, polish, and surface granite and marble tiles with exceptional attention to detail.
  5. Prepare various surfaces for tiling by cleaning them properly and applying waterproofing material or lath.
  6. Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms.
  7. Tap tiles into place carefully to ensure proper adhesion without damaging the tiles.
  8. Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to approach each job.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the tiling industry.
  • Secondary School / High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Carpentry and renovation experience is highly valued.
