About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our Technology Project & Platform Delivery team at OCBC Bank. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in facilitating agile ceremonies, supporting Product Owners, and coordinating sprint deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor teams on agile values and principles.
  • Foster a safe and trusting environment where team members feel empowered to raise issues without fear of blame or retribution.
  • Develop creative ideas to keep scrum events positive and energized.
  • Work with teams to ensure deliverables are of consistently high quality.
  • Help teams remove blockers and impediments.
  • Coach teams to become self-organizing and highly performant.
  • Investigate, challenge, and proactively suggest improvements to the ways of working.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and work across teams to improve and support the scaling of agility within the bank.
  • Support and challenge Product Owners to maximize value delivery of the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap.
Requirements
  • At least 10-13 years of relevant delivery experience in a financial services environment, preferably in digital channels for Corporates.
  • Understanding of technology and development lifecycle, with experience in both SDLC and Agile/Scrum delivery.
  • Solid technical background to guide engineers in building the right solutions and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assimilate information quickly and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including documentation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable communicating across different business divisions and levels of seniority in the organization.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with business stakeholders and other subject matter experts to problem-solving and influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrate experience and ability to work in a culturally diverse and geographically distributed cross-functional team and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrate ability to resolve complex problems effectively and creatively.
  • Self-starter with excellent servant leadership and team-building skills.
