Job Title: Scrum Master

At Prudential plc, we are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and enforce Scrum principles and practices to facilitate continuous improvement and identify and remove team impediments.
  • Work closely with the scrum team to deliver project deliverables, prioritization, estimations, and planning.
  • Ensure the scrum team's adherence to delivery schedules and estimates, assessing and surfacing all schedule risks and communicating accordingly.
  • Ensure coherence of tasks in the product/sprint backlog and commitment based on release and functionality of the overall product.
  • Oversee multi-function project teams, including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel.
  • Assure transparency of work being done and communicate progress via regular reporting, including Burndown Charts and Status reports, Risks, and Issues.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Participate in discovery sessions with customers and stakeholders.
  • Assess the Agile maturity of the team and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as PDPA, MAS TRM, and MAS Outsourcing Guidelines.
  • Develop project and resource plans with all stakeholders, including IT, Users, and vendors.
  • Ensure deliverables are in accordance with relevant IT policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic project status reviews with all stakeholders, including Project Steering Committees.
  • Manage stakeholders, including influencing and persuading, as part of project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Independent and works well across different functions.
  • Excellent problem analysis skill, innovative and creative in developing solutions.
  • Strong sense of drive and commitment to deliver on responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on.
Experience:
  • More than 10 years in IT, with at least 2 years experience in managing and delivering IT projects.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale IT application projects using Agile software development.
Qualifications:
  • Professional qualifications in IT Project Management, such as CITPM, PMP, COMIT, CSM, or PMI-ACP.
Education:
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Language:
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
