Precision Engineering Specialist - Robotics and Automation
About the Role:

The Centre of Building Research (CBR), at Woodlands, is the research and development master laboratory where testing and research are conducted. As a key team member, you will be working on new initiatives to develop plans, technical specifications, system requirements, and design mechanisms for robotics and automation with AI technologies in precast production works processes. Your role will involve assessing and reviewing costs, budget, and ROI for robotics and automation technologies to improve productivity, precision, and quality in precast production works processes, reducing reliance on manual labor at precast plants.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop plans, technical specifications, system requirements, and design mechanisms for robotics and automation with AI technologies.
  • Assess and review costs, budget, and ROI for robotics and automation technologies.
  • Manage term contracts for the production and supply of precast components.
  • Conduct research and development in robotics and automation with AI technologies.
  • Work with vendors/Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) on physical setup, hardware installation, and programming of movements.
  • Monitor, measure, and track the performance of robotics and automation technologies deployed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

* A background in engineering on mechatronics systems, robotics systems, machine intelligence, or other relevant engineering fields.
* At least 3 years of experience in the design and programming of robotics, automation, mechatronics, and project management.
* Strong problem-solving skills to identify suitable solutions.
* Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as an effective team player.

Benefits:
