Project Engineer

The role entails deployment as a project/process engineer to implement Pumping Facilities Modules for Tuas WRP.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage contracts to ensure safe completion of projects within cost and time, with compliance to specifications.
  • Review engineering calculations, tender specifications, and drawings submitted by consultants and contractors.
  • Check construction drawings, including BIM, to ensure compliance to specifications.
  • Execute contract management, including verifying and processing progress payments, monitoring and managing budgets, evaluating and managing variations.
  • Call, evaluate, and recommend tenders.
  • Work with consultants in an integrated team to oversee contractors in the successful construction and commissioning of plants.
  • Involve in site coordination and activities, assisting in planning and coordination of multiple contracts with concurrent civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work on site.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to management.
  • Liaise with plant operators, consultants, and relevant authorities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Responsible, committed, and keen to be part of a multi-disciplinary team involved in the DTSS2 mega-project.
  • Candidates with relevant experience/specialisation in wastewater process, treatment, or infrastructure are preferred.

About the Role:

This is a 2-year contract position, with opportunities for renewal after the first contract. Work location: Tuas WRP.
