Geotechnical Design Specialist

Job Description:

This role involves the design and technical delivery of geotechnical and reclamation projects. It includes performing engineering analyses, reviewing design submissions, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Offshore/Marine Engineering, along with 3 years of experience in geotechnical, marine, or offshore reclamation projects. Knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and coastal/marine works is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design of reclamation, retaining structures, marine foundations, and geotechnical works
  2. Perform geotechnical analysis, slope stability assessments, soil-structure interaction, and settlement calculations
  3. Review drawings, design calculations, method statements, and technical specifications
  4. Liaise with project engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve design and site coordination issues
  5. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and design deliverables for submission to clients and regulatory authorities
