Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced diagnostic imaging specialist to join our team. As a diagnostic imaging specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging services using various modalities such as General X-Ray, Portable X Ray, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and BMI.
  • You will ensure that examinations are performed to the correct patient and observe radiation safety rules and respective procedural consents.
  • Ensure the quality of the recording medium and printed copies of images on paper are of optimal quality before releasing to doctors and patients.
  • Enter examination codes into the system that correspond to the examinations requested by patients.
  • Explain the examination to patients, including what they will undergo and the estimated duration.
  • Evaluate patients' physical and emotional well-being during and after examinations.
  • Take precautions to protect patients, staff, and the public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Perform on-call and after-hours duties when necessary, ensuring prompt responses that meet hospital standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Registered with a valid AHPC practicing certificate
  • At least 2 years of related working experience
  • Able to work independently
