Job Title: Logistics Coordinator - Cell and Gene

At Marken, we are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator - Cell and Gene to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and operational support for the movement of cell and gene shipments through our network.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily operations related to cell and gene shipments, including booking shipments, working with global branches, and tracking shipments through GPS technology.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal departments, including Project Management, Operations, Customer Relationship Managers, and the Customer Services Team.
  • Book shipments in Maestro against client specifications and pre-defined lane mapping, and review customer bookings in Maestro.
  • Update Maestro milestones and chase any milestones not added as agreed.
  • Manage all paperwork or checklists associated with cell and gene shipments, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and attached to Maestro as defined in COPs and SOPs.
  • Monitor GPS tracking on all CGT shipments and daily dashboards, and provide clear and accurate information regarding the handling of shipments, especially when shipments are delayed.
  • Post-flight and trace investigations to improve service, and provide support and assistance when dealing with special requirements.
  • Produce daily reports detailing any transport issues within the Marken network, and monitor and analyze repetitive operational issues to develop solutions and lessons learned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree, 4-year degree, or applicable work experience as a substitute for education.
  • General logistics import/export knowledge, preferably in the Pharma/Clinical Trials industry.
  • Experience in the courier or air freight industry.
  • Strong knowledge of PC and Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to adapt and deal with inquiries and day-to-day issues, and proven track record of excellent customer service.
  • Eye for detail, organized, skilled in tracking, and a problem solver.
  • Ability to multi-task and think on one's feet, and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours/shift work.
