Refrigeration Technician Job Description

The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems. This includes working with refrigerators and other related products.

  • Installation and repair of refrigeration systems, including mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of system problems, including mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues
  • Repair or replacement of faulty components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, and fans
  • Regular preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns
  • System tests to verify performance, temperature control, and refrigerant levels
  • Calibration of temperature controls, thermostats, and pressure switches as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum O-Level equivalent qualification, with relevant certifications or vocational training a plus
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and components
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Possession of Class 3 License an added advantage
