
Technical Success Developer

Azul is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to drive technical wins across opportunities in the assigned territory. The role focuses on delivering solutions through pre-sales activities, discovery of business challenges, and demonstrating capabilities to validate the solution. As a mentor, you will guide other SEs to become successful in their roles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Meeting with prospects and clients onsite and remotely to sell Azul product portfolio solutions (new and upsell)
- Conducting presentations and demos at all technical levels to communicate Azul's value
- Overseeing execution of product pilots and proofs-of-concept within a client environment
- Providing expert assistance to other SEs on pilot planning and execution
- Understanding and responding to proposals by aligning Azul capabilities with requirements
- Coordinating with additional team members to achieve the technical win
- Working with Account Executives on Territory Planning to create pipeline, grow accounts, engage and enable partners
- Building and nurturing existing clients for customer success and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Attending/presenting at conferences, workshops, roadshows to evangelize Azul and build funnel
- Demonstrating SME-level technical depth and breadth across Azul product suite
- Developing SME-level understanding of at least one key third-party technology
- Continuously increasing product/tech acumen through enablement sessions and hands-on learning
- Conducting training sessions and mentoring other team members; being a primary mentor to onboarding SEs
Requirements include:
Experience & Education- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or IT-related discipline
- Preferred: Master's or higher in IT or business-related discipline
- Minimum three years of experience in a Sales Engineering role
- Deep understanding of Java architecture and Java-based applications/frameworks (Cassandra, Kafka, Solr, etc.) with SME-level expertise in at least one related technology
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies, providers (e.g., AWS) and container solutions (e.g., Docker)
- Willing and able to travel up to 20%
- Knowledge of sales processes (MEDDICC preferred) and CRMs (Salesforce preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interface with groups of varying sizes and levels
- Proven problem-solving, organizational, and ethical professional conduct; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask across client challenges and requests, sometimes outside normal business hours
