We are seeking a skilled Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and commercialization of our Managed IT Services and Backup/Data Protection Solutions portfolio.
This pivotal role blends technical expertise, market insight, and business acumen to deliver differentiated offerings and drive revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-oriented, with a proven track record in building scalable solutions, defining go-to-market strategies, and managing vendor ecosystems in the IT services space.
- Conduct detailed market research, competitive analysis, and trend monitoring in the Managed IT and Backup/BDR space.
- Identify customer pain points and market opportunities to define high-impact, differentiated offerings.
- Develop and maintain a clear product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy aligned with corporate goals.
1. Product Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Service Delivery, and Sales to design and refine service offerings.
- Develop and optimize service packages (e.g., tiered offerings, bundled services, SLAs) tailored to SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments.
- Ensure offerings are secure, scalable, and compliant with industry and regulatory standards.
2. Product Development & Service Packaging
- Define and manage pricing strategies for Managed IT and Backup solutions.
- Build competitive, profitable commercial models (e.g., subscription-based, usage-driven, bundled pricing).
- Support Sales with cost modeling, value proposition articulation, and proposal development.
3. Pricing Strategy & Commercial Models
- Lead product launch initiatives, enablement programs, and internal sales training.
- Develop GTM assets, including messaging frameworks, sales playbooks, and customer-facing collateral.
- Collaborate with Marketing to drive demand generation, positioning, and promotional campaigns.
4. Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning & Execution
- Build strategic relationships with key technology vendors, software providers, and distributors.
- Negotiate vendor agreements, licensing terms, joint marketing initiatives, and incentive programs.
- Align product roadmaps with vendor technology advancements to enhance solution relevance and competitiveness.
5. Partnership & Ecosystem Development
- Act as the product SME across the organization and in customer-facing engagements.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Technology, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
- Champion internal alignment on product direction, strategy, and performance metrics.
6. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Define and track key product KPIs (e.g., adoption rates, revenue growth, churn, CSAT).
- Analyse performance metrics and customer feedback to inform ongoing product enhancements.
- Deliver regular performance reports and strategic updates to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in product management, pre-sales, or solution marketing in an IT organisation.
- Good understanding of Managed Services, Backup & Disaster Recovery (BDR), and Cloud Hosting ecosystems.
- Proven experience in pricing strategies, partner/vendor management, and go-to-market execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
