Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Trading Team in various aspects of freight and chartering operations. Your primary objective will be to seek out the best transportation solutions for our clients, using opportunities that align with our company objectives and business plans. You will work closely with traders, customers, brokers, and ship owners to negotiate charters that meet their requirements within time and cost parameters. Additionally, you will identify market opportunities that can be developed into profit-generating activities for our commodities department.

You will perform analysis to evaluate alternative chartering strategies and provide market intelligence, updates, and industry changes to traders and operations staff on a regular basis. Furthermore, you will ensure that charter party terms are negotiated in the most favorable way, consistent with applicable terms and conditions. Other responsibilities include creating performance improvement plans for load port/discharge port agents who are not meeting departmental performance goals and attending various commercial activities to stay abreast with changes and trends in the maritime industry.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require a Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics or equivalent experience in a related field. At least one year of working experience in the related field is essential. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
