Your Role in Underwriting Excellence

The AIG Underwriting teams are dedicated to delivering innovative insurance solutions across various sectors, including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand the Trade Credit line of business within the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on markets such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Australia.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments based on submissions from intermediaries and provide competitive quotations for binding risks.
  • Ensure underwriting excellence for each assigned account, adhering to established procedures, reviewing manuscript wording, and following up on risk recommendations.
  • Underwrite new and renewal insurance submissions while negotiating policy terms and conditions effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, producers, and service providers.
  • Proactively seek and pursue pipeline opportunities and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Engage regularly in meetings with brokers and clients to enhance local market presence.
  • Comply with operational and audit guidelines.
  • Support regional leadership by providing timely and accurate reporting data.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members.

Qualifications for Success

  • A background in finance or accounting is essential.
  • Strong expertise in financial and credit analysis, along with the ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Relevant experience in the trade credit sector or related fields within banking and finance.
  • Proven experience in account management, engaging with senior stakeholders such as CFOs, Credit Controllers, and Risk Managers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
  • Proficient in understanding financial statements and business information in English and at least one regional language.
