Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Supervisor to join our team at Teambuild Construction Group. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the architectural aspects of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • To develop a comprehensive project schedule that aligns with our master schedule
    • To coordinate and monitor the progress of architectural sub-contractors, ensuring timely completion of works
    • To identify and mitigate potential conflicts between sub-contractors
    • To delegate tasks to general workers and chargehands, ensuring effective workflow
    • To liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods
    • To resolve architectural queries and discrepancies through written communication
    • To study architectural drawings and structural drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency
    • To perform night duties to supervise concreting, as required
    • To supervise workers in carrying out construction works, adhering to approved safe work procedures
    • To ensure safety requirements are met before applying for permits to work
    • To exercise care in handling and storing incoming materials
    • To arrange for architectural trade demonstrations for consultant approvals
    • To ensure timely delivery of materials and goods to site
    • To arrange for testing of architectural materials
    • To liaise with consultants to resolve technical and detailing issues
    • To attend project coordination meetings
    • To report progress of architectural works to the Project Manager
    • To assist the Quality Team in preparing Conquas 21 or Quality Mark
    • To assist the Project Manager in compiling handing over documents, including As-built drawings
  • Project Budget Control:
    • To implement control measures on material, plant, and equipment usage
    • To control direct labor costs, including number of direct workers and overtime
    • To meet targeted progress of works to achieve intended cash flow
  • Technical Understanding:
    • To understand specifications, drawings, scope, and sequence of works
    • To propose alternative materials or work methods for architectural works
    • To interpret construction drawings for discrepancies
  • Leadership:
    • To lead subordinates to achieve project requirements
    • To manage changes effectively
  • Teamwork:
    • To assist the WHSO in maintaining safety and environmental standards on site
    • To work cohesively with peers and sub-contractors
  • Client Management:
    • To maintain good rapport with clients and consultants
  • People Development:
    • To improve job scope to fulfill responsibilities as an Arch Coordinator
    • To identify and groom potential supervisors
  • Internal Operations:
    • To follow and maintain procedures, standards, and guidelines
    • To lend expertise to internal teams and task forces
    • To ensure safety regulations are complied with by all workers
  • Job Requirements:
    • Preferably with experience in building construction
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
