Key Responsibilities:
  • Study existing technology landscapes and understand current application workloads.
  • Provide solutions to meet client requirements and adapt to new requirements.
  • Understand and document technical requirements from clients, build solutions, and create RFPs.
  • Define migration strategies to move applications to the cloud.
  • Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation.
  • Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment, including server instances, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
  • Design the hyperscaler network architecture, including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets.
  • Design high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
  • Execute migration plans.
  • Leverage appropriate hyperscaler services.
  • Validate the environment to meet all security and compliance controls.
  • Set up processes, services, and tools around cloud environments.
  • Oversee the build of the environment.
Requirements:
  • Engineering graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering (or) Postgraduate in Computer Science.
  • Experience of around 8 to 12 years in the IT domain with relevant experience of 4+ years as a tech pre-sales/Solution Architect for cloud-based product offerings (or) equivalent experience in technical consulting/technical support/systems engineering for networking/server/storage/software/security products.
  • Hands-on experience in designing architecture for relevant products (e.g., networking, software).
  • Good knowledge of cloud technology and ecosystem (e.g., IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
  • Hyperscaler certified Solution Architects are preferred.
  • Good problem-solving skills, communication skills, and customer orientation.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of key Cloud Services.
  • Proven experience assessing clients' workloads and technology landscapes for cloud suitability, developing business cases, and cloud adoption roadmaps.
  • Proven knowledge of hyperscaler platforms and tools.
  • Experience in working with RFPs, proposals, and solutions.
  • Experience in defining new architectures and driving projects from an architecture standpoint.
  • Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to cloud and overall industry to provide thought leadership (seminars, whitepapers, etc.) and mentor teams to build necessary competency.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with key stakeholders in client organizations.
  • Experience in building scalable production systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Certification on any of the hyperscaler architectures is desirable.
