Manual Tester Job Description:

This role involves testing software applications to identify and report defects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Analyze software requirements and understand client needs
    * Design, develop, and execute manual test plans, test cases, and scripts
    * Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
    * Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
    * Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
    * Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
    * Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
    * Document test procedures and maintain test artifacts for repeatability and compliance
    * Provide feedback on product design and usability
    * Mentor junior testers (for senior roles)

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    * 2–5 years of experience in manual testing (more for senior roles)
    * Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies
    * Experience with web and mobile application testing
    * Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools
    * Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing
    * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    * Strong communication and collaboration abilities
