Protective Services Officer

You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises by monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, verifying credentials, responding to incidents, documenting reports, enforcing safety protocols, and collaborating with law enforcement agencies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor Surveillance Systems: Regularly observe CCTV cameras and alarms to detect unusual activity or breaches in security.
  • Conduct Patrols: Perform routine patrols of the premises to ensure all areas are secure and deter unauthorized activity.
  • Access Control: Verify employee credentials and manage access points to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to Incidents: Quickly respond to and manage incidents, including theft, vandalism, or emergencies, while following established protocols.
  • Document Reports: Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities for review and reporting purposes.
  • Enforce Safety Protocols: Educate employees on safety and emergency procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with Law Enforcement: Coordinate with police or emergency services during critical incidents or investigations.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong observational and situational awareness skills.
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred but not always required.
  • Proficiency with security systems (e.g., CCTV) and communication equipment.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
