**What the role is**
- The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children, families and vulnerable adults (VAs). Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending.
As part of the RPG family, the Adult Protective Service (APS) is a statutory service that leads in the policies and processes to safeguard the safety and well-being of individuals, families and vulnerable adults experiencing violence, abuse or neglect.

**What you will be working on**
- Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will be part of a team responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a standardized family violence triage and assessment tool and intervention framework. You will be required to work closely with the sector partners to conduct needs analysis through a series of engagement sessions and focus group discussions. You will work closely with the identified vendor in the development of the tools and intervention framework and follow through with the implementation. You will have opportunities to work closely with sector partners overseeing the family violence related programmes such as the Crisis Shelters, Protection Specialist Centres and Crisis Placement Programme.
As an Officer/ Senior Officer, you will:

- Work with the team to develop and implement a standardized family violence triage and risk assessment tools and intervention framework for the professionals involved in family violence work;
- Undertake project management to ensure that the team remains on track with the development and implementation timeline;
- Engage identified sector partners to conduct needs analysis and seek their input on the tools and intervention framework;
- Develop and implement operational processes and policies to guide the use of the tools and intervention framework;
- Analyse trends, needs, and challenges in the family violence landscape through data and ground-sensing, to inform reviews and projections for service expansions/enhancements to ensure that the family violence landscape remains robust;
- Coordinating staff and internal resources which includes leading and being part of a secretariat team for workgroups; and
- Any other duties specified by the Assistant Director.

**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline (i.e. Sociology) from an accredited institution
- Prior experience in working with family violence and/or vulnerable families is an advantage
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong engagement, assessment, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
- Empathetic with high level of emotional resilience and ability to work calmly in stressful situations and environment
- Enjoy teamwork and able to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Proactive and resourceful, with a ‘can do’ spirit
- Tenacious and nimble in handling difficult situations
