Chief Technical Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Technical Officer to lead our drawing office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing design teams and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a drawing office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Oversee the planning and distribution of work to ensure timely delivery of drawings and alignment with project milestones. Manage team training and development to ensure skills are up-to-date with technological trends.
  • Quality Oversight: Review and approve technical drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance with specifications, and adherence to codes and standards. Monitor and uphold the quality standards of drawing work produced by the team.
  • Process Management: Implement and maintain efficient workflows, design protocols, and quality assurance measures within the drawing office. Stay updated on industry advancements and oversee the implementation of new software or tools to enhance productivity.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate closely with engineering, fabrication, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution. Liaise with clients, architects, and suppliers to resolve queries and maintain smooth project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a design or drawing office, often within engineering, manufacturing, or construction.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing principles, and relevant CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
