Senior Vice President, Non-Financial Risk

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the execution of non-financial risk (NFR) controls for a major financial institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NFR operations and proven experience in managing teams.

The Senior Vice President, Non-Financial Risk will be responsible for developing and implementing effective control frameworks across diverse operations teams, working closely with stakeholders to identify emerging risks and incident trends. This role requires a proactive and articulate individual with excellent communication skills, able to drive strategic outcomes and deliver key messages to senior management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing NFR control agendas for the Singapore site, supporting incident events, control assessment, lessons learnt, and themed analysis.
  • Co-leading the Singapore region and overseeing ASEAN as a cluster in delivering exceptional overall governance, mobilization, and management of a robust and effective control framework.
  • Working with MSS Operations Management and colleagues in MSS Ops NFR teams to maintain a forward-looking function, helping support business lines across various risk governance forums.
  • Leading improvements to global process environments, ensuring progression to more standard, sustainable, and optimized ways of delivering operational processes.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of either Markets or Security Services operations.
  • Strong team leadership skills, particularly in coaching and developing team members and excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues succinctly and clearly.
  • Proven ability in problem-solving and prioritization skills, with a keen eye for detail and excellent team player with a self-motivated attitude and ability to think/act independently.
