Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing tailored instruction and support to students who require additional assistance. Your primary goal will be to facilitate academic growth and personal development through collaborative partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external service providers.

You will utilize data-driven strategies to identify areas of strength and weakness in your students and develop targeted interventions to address these challenges. Your expertise will enable students to access the curriculum and engage in meaningful learning experiences that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and assessment to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Analyze student data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.

Your role will also involve communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless transitions and maximize student outcomes. Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent.
  • Professional teaching licensure or certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with students requiring special education services.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
