Job Overview:

The Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of surgical instruments and medical equipment within hospitals. As a CSSD Technician, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the entire process of sterilization, from receiving and inspecting instruments to packaging and labeling them for storage and reuse.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the workflow across multiple stations, including decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Supervise cleaning and washing of instruments, ensuring adherence to strict quality control standards.
  • Oversee the sterilization of tools and surgical kits, maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.
  • Coordinate with team members to sort, assemble, pack, and label instruments according to established checklists.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of instruments and equipment, facilitating seamless operation and minimizing downtime.

Requirements:
  • Prior experience in healthcare or sterilization work is highly beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift items up to 7–10kg.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is essential.
