Operations Manager Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless operations and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as we continue to drive innovation in the concrete industry.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hot and dusty environment, with frequent travel to aggregate terminals across the island.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the aggregate terminal, adhering to cost-control practices and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Planning and coordinating daily operations, including manpower and truck requirements.
  • Ensuring timely completion of tasks, adhering to safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Performing daily checks, maintenance, and arranging for necessary repairs for equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the quality of materials delivered to the aggregate terminal, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Attending coordination meetings and preparing for delivery and arrangement, fostering effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Managing material stockpiles according to specific requirements, optimizing storage capacity and reducing waste.
  • Supporting quality checks, defect identification, and repair work at aggregate terminals, upholding our commitment to excellence.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to meet expectations and maintain strong relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements:

  • ITE NITEC/Diploma holders in Logistics or equivalent are preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply, with a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Experience working in aggregate terminal/stockpile management is an advantage, but not required.
  • Ability to read and communicate in English, both written and spoken.
  • Singapore Class 3 driving license is required, as well as swimming ability due to barge sighting responsibilities.
  • Willingness to work on rotating shift schedules if required, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong team player with a diligent and positive attitude, able to work independently under tight schedules.
  • Safety Training: BCSS certification is mandatory.
