System Support Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced System Support Specialist to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong system support background with prior experience in leading a team.

This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our systems, and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical applications.

  • Lead the system support function for various applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for production issues using Java and SQL.
  • Monitor application health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and preventive measures.
  • Manage incident and problem management processes in alignment with ITIL standards.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless support and continuous improvement of applications.
  • Drive automation and process optimization to enhance support efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
  • Maintain detailed support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for internal use.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in system development and support, with strong hands-on expertise in Java and SQL.
  • Proven experience working in the banking or financial services domain, with knowledge of core banking systems and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure production environments.
  • Experience with incident management tools and monitoring solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud environment is a plus.
