Job Opportunity: Application Infrastructure Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Application Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role involves supporting environment setup, patching, connectivity, and job scheduling while working closely with application and infrastructure teams in a leading bank environment.

The successful candidate will have experience in IT infrastructure/application support, preferably in a banking environment, and possess knowledge of Windows & Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and databases (MSSQL, Oracle).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure timely execution of setup tasks.
  • Assist in coordinating operating system upgrades and patching activities across environments.
  • Support the setup of secure file transfers and assist in SSH key generation.
  • Support the creation, scheduling, and monitoring of jobs, including troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Provision and configure development, testing, and production environments.
  • Contribute to automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using DevOps tools.
  • Track infrastructure-related tasks and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for incidents and issues.
  • Document environment specifications, connectivity configurations, and upgrade procedures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure/application support, preferably in a banking environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows & Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and databases (MSSQL, Oracle).
  • Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Shell, PowerShell, SQL, batch).
  • Understanding of secure connectivity protocols.
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
