Early Childhood Educator Role

The position of an Early Childhood Educator plays a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for young children to grow and develop.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work closely with the main teacher to deliver lessons in accordance with the centre's curriculum. This involves establishing a safe, organized, and resourceful classroom setting that encourages children to explore and learn.

  • Support the main teacher in delivering lessons and ensuring effective implementation of the curriculum.
  • Create a conducive learning environment that promotes children's development and progress.
  • Prepare and set up materials and resources for daily activities.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as songs, games, and storytelling.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized classroom.
  • Assist in observing and recording children's development and progress.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education, or relevant experience in a preschool setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work under the guidance of the main teacher and within a team environment.
