Job Title: Terminal Operations Professional

Key Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the terminal by performing pre-arrival safety checks, preparing tanks and systems for cargo operations, and supervising mooring and unmooring of vessels.
  • Conduct system monitoring during cargo operations, perform post-operation tankage checks, and confirm quantities and qualities of product.

Operational Details:

  • Perform vessel pre-arrival safety checks, prepare tanks and systems for cargo operations, and supervise mooring and unmooring of vessels.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams for transfer planning and execution, conduct system checks during transfer, and prepare tankage for release post-transfer.
  • Ensure tanks and products are ready for daily delivery, supervise dispatch operations, manage safe operation of tanker activities, and document pre- and post-delivery activities.

Daily Routine Tasks:

  • Operators' rounds, sampling, tank draining, tank dipping, maintenance/project support/PTWs, system lineup/verification, jetty/tanks/pumps surveillance check, and daily stock reconciliation.
  • Coverage for planned/unplanned absenteeism, nonscheduled tasks assigned by Terminal Manager/Supervisor, and assisting in system trouble shooting.

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder with at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Operational experience and familiarity with terminals, self-starter skills, good time management, written and verbal communication, ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Familiarity with system applications like GSAP and interfacing Caps like GIB and Omega.
