Regulatory Compliance Specialist

This role requires a high degree of expertise in regulatory compliance, particularly with regards to international laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legislative analysis, judicial insight, and executive strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, research, and analyze international laws, regulations, and sanctions that impact business operations.
  • Track and interpret regulations on international sanctions, indirect sanction ownership structures, and politically exposed persons (PEPs).
  • Interpret guidance from agencies such as OFAC, FinCEN, or the EU's CFSP list, including updates to sanctions thresholds.
  • Oversee and adapt technical workflows with development teams to ensure compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Write and maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and regulatory updates.
  • Conduct quality control checks, troubleshoot workflow/data issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, International Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience interpreting legislative texts and judicial rulings affecting compliance, with proven ability to operationalize court decisions.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, data investigation, and analysis of international business structures.
  • Adaptable to fast-changing regulations and priorities.
  • Creative and proactive approach to challenges.
  • Efficient team player.

Preferred Skills:

  • Legislative analysis: parsing draft laws and regulations.
  • Judicial insight: tracking precedents and case law databases.
  • Executive strategy: Align screening processes with agency priorities and enforcement mandates.
  • Sharp analytical thinking and thorough research skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and how to use LLM to improve current processes.
