We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at FOC Sentosa PTE. LTD.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading a kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage kitchen staff, including training and development, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Prepare menus, recipes, and portion sizes to meet customer demand and maintain profit margins.
- Source and manage inventory, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients.
- Monitor food safety and hygiene practices, adhering to HACCP standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu ideas and recipes.
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a sous chef in a fine dining restaurant.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
- $45,000 - $60,000 annual salary (based on experience).
- 5 days per week, 44 hours weekly (OT & Off in lieu compensation).
