Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Marina Bay Sands. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in managing the kitchen and its staff
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of food to high standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Supervise Commis Chefs and provide guidance and training as needed
  • Manage section stock control and rotation
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Develop and implement waste controls
  • Understand and adhere to restaurant standards and specifications

Requirements

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a full-service kitchen, with at least 2 years in a similar role
  • Familiarity with food hygiene and safety certifications
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
