Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods between locations, ensuring timely delivery and collection. They will also be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive long distances to deliver goods to customer sites safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials using proper techniques to avoid damage or injury.
  • Record material deliveries, refuel, and clean the vehicle on a regular basis.
  • Transport goods to and from distribution centers while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Report any road incidents to the dispatcher immediately.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid Class 4 driving license with no history of serious traffic offenses.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience as a Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, particularly when interacting with colleagues.
  • Be physically fit and able to lift heavy cargo.
Preferred Skills:
  • Class 3 License for added versatility.
  • Previous experience working in construction or logistics industries.
  • Excellent inventory management and control skills.
  • Knowledge of safe unloading techniques and procedures.
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
