Material Master Data Business Professional

This role involves managing and maintaining the integrity of material master data across an organization. Ensuring accurate and consistent data entry, governance, and optimization is crucial for supporting business processes, reporting, and system migrations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, resolve data issues, and drive continuous improvement in data quality and usability.

Data Management Responsibilities:
  • Extracting and analyzing master data from SAP ECC
  • Identifying areas of anomalies to assist in creating compelling business cases for material and service master data governance implementation

Governance Support:
Implementing and enforcing data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Collaboration:
Working closely with stakeholders across procurement, supply chain, finance, and IT to align material master data with business needs.

Issue Resolution:
Resolving data discrepancies or inconsistencies to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Process Improvement:
Proposing and implementing enhancements to data entry processes, workflows, and tools to improve efficiency and quality.

Reporting & Analysis:
Generating reports and providing insights on material master data quality, usage, and performance metrics.

System Migration Support:
Supporting data cleansing, mapping, and validation activities during system migrations or upgrades.

Qualifications:
Minimum diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field with good Excel and analytics skills.
Proven experience in material master data management, data governance, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC, S4 HANA) and material master data structures.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
Knowledge of data governance principles, analytics, and best practices is a plus.
Proficiency in PPT, Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
