Opportunity to Lead Safety and Risk Initiatives

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on challenging safety and risk projects for large global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance on safety and risk projects involving risk analysis, modelling, calculations, and other studies.
  • Perform robust technically sound analysis based on reasoned argument and defensible data/information.
  • Develop improvements/changes to design to reduce risk or improve safety in operations.
  • Participate in safety workshops (i.e., HAZIDS, HAZOPS, ALARP), and can lead/facilitate small workshops.
  • Manage small to medium sized projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure deliverables produced are of the quality expected by clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's degree and/or Professional Memberships (IChemE, AIChE) is a plus.
  • At least 8 years with Technical Safety/Process Safety/Safety Engineering experience and projects under a variety of local, regional and national regulatory standards.
  • Possess strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills.
  • Have experience managing small to mid sized projects, and have led a small team in delivering such projects.
