Critical Care Transport Specialist

This role plays a vital part in our Emergency and Medical Transport team.

As a Critical Care Transport Specialist, you will operate ambulances to transport patients safely and efficiently.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing scheduled patient transfers, hospital discharges, and emergency cases.
  • Driving ambulances to transport patients to medical appointments, hospitals, and healthcare facilities.
  • Assisting medical personnel with patient transfers, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Performing routine checks and basic maintenance of the ambulance.
  • Adhering to traffic laws, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records of trips, patient information, and relevant data.
  • Providing patient support during transport, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Participating in training sessions to enhance skills, including defensive driving and medical assistance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Class 3 driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  • Previous experience in defensive driving is highly preferred.
  • Certification or experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and ability to assist with patient transfers.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
