Job Overview

  • This is a senior-level engineering role that involves overseeing mechanical and building construction works on site.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the site supervision team, conducting site inspections, and resolving contract issues.
  • They will also handle RFIs, technical submittals, and method statements, as well as coordinate with other engineers and the design team.

About the Role

  • Lead the site supervision team on Mechanical and Building Construction works.
  • Assist the Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager with site inspections, contract matters, defect identification, and supervision of rectification works.
  • Respond to all Contractor's RFIs and technical submittals. Additional responsibilities include assessing method statements, instrumentation readings, coordinating with other discipline engineers, and liaising with the design team/QP from HQ.
  • Attend site/project meetings, discussions with clients and contractors, and lead technical and progress discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site supervision: Lead the site supervision team on all Mechanical and Building Construction works.
  • Contract management: Assist the Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager with site inspections, contract matters, defect identification, and supervision of rectification works.
  • RFI and technical submittal handling: Respond to all Contractor's RFIs and technical submittals.
  • Method statement assessment: Assess method statements, instrument readings, and coordinate with other discipline engineers.
  • Liaison with design team: Liaise with the design team/QP from HQ.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably recognized by the PE Board, Singapore.
  • Approximately 10 years of experience supervising mechanical works in infrastructure projects, preferably water or used water treatment facilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
