Job Opportunity: Experienced Rhino Designer

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Designer with expertise in 3D modeling, shop drawings, and fabrication detailing to enhance our architecture design processes.

The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, and computational design. They should be proficient in scripting languages like Python and C# to streamline workflows, optimize parametric models, and automate repetitive tasks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed, accurate 3D models using Rhino 3D for architecture steel, ETFE, and PTFE.
  • Prepare precise shop drawings, fabrication detailing, and technical documentation for construction.
  • Develop presentations, including 3D visualizations, diagrams, exploded views, renderings, to communicate design concepts to clients.
  • Write custom scripts in Python or C# for Grasshopper/Rhino to automate modeling, streamline workflows, and enhance parametric capabilities.
  • Utilize Grasshopper for advanced parametric design and algorithmic modeling solutions.
  • Create visualizations using D5 render to communicate design intent.
  • Optimize models for CNC milling, robotic fabrication, and modular manufacturing.
  • Automate and enhance workflows to improve efficiency, material utilization, and production feasibility.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, fabricators, and clients to develop functional, manufacturable designs.
  • Maintain structured libraries of 3D models, scripts, shop drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in 3D modeling and design
  • Proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, and computational design
  • Strong understanding of scripting languages like Python and C#
  • Experience with shop drawings, fabrication detailing, and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain organized digital files and databases
