Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost competitiveness and service levels meet company requirements.

  • Sourcing and negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost competitiveness and service levels meet company requirements.
  • Updating purchase orders in our costing system.
  • Preparing monthly purchase reports.
  • Updating vendor lists of suppliers and subcontractors and building direct contacts with local and overseas manufacturers.
  • Building and updating databases of company production consumables, ship store supplies, and spare parts for quotation and purchase purposes.
  • Preparing documents including delivery orders and applying related permits for ship repairs as requested.
  • Assisting with operations arrangements such as coordinating with ship agents, superintendents, subcontractors, and our repair team for daily operations if necessary.
  • Assisting with quotations for ship store and spare supply if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and procedures.
