Senior Murex Accounting Professional

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Murex Accounting Professional to lead our finance team through a major system upgrade.

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the subject matter expert for Murex Accounting and wider Finance stream, providing guidance and oversight throughout the upgrade process.
  2. Functional analysis of accounting changes shared by Murex, presenting key findings to stakeholders.
  3. Define process and report adaptations in response to changes introduced in higher Murex versions.
  4. Represent the Accounting/Finance stream at project meetings, ensuring seamless coordination with cross-functional teams.
  5. Participate in discussions with business stakeholders, understanding their needs and transforming them into actionable initiatives.
  6. Foster collaboration with vendor support teams to resolve bugs/issues efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the financial industry, with expertise in Murex Accounting and Finance Module configuration.
  • Proven ability to configure accounting rules in Murex for derivatives, FI, and FX asset classes.
  • Murex implementation or upgrade experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of finance reports, particularly Profit and Loss (PnL) and accrual reports.
  • Expertise in Murex PnL-related configuration, including accounting and economic PnL components.
