We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Center Field Technician for a part-time role.

Job Description

As a Senior Data Center Field Technician, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical support in data center environments. Your primary focus will be on providing on-site and remote technical support for data center hardware and infrastructure.

You will perform core data center operations, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and inventory control of servers and appliances. Additionally, you will set up cabling and connectivity, deploy and decommission hardware, manage inventory, troubleshoot offline or downed servers, handle inbound and outbound shipping tickets, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication and timely service.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a data center or technical support role
  • Strong hands-on experience with server, storage, and networking hardware
  • Proficient in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of IT infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Capable of producing clear technical documentation and reports

Others

The ideal candidate will have certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent. Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools is also preferred. Familiarity with data center safety and operational standards is required.
