The National University of Singapore invites applications for a MRI Radiographer position in the Clinical Imaging Research Centre.

We are seeking an experienced MRI radiographer who can perform stand-alone MRI scans independently and extend their expertise to PET/MRI scanning. In-house training will be provided for PET/MRI.

The Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC) offers MRI and molecular imaging facilities that include hybrid-PET modalities of PET/CT and PET/ MRI for clinical research and clinical trials.

A state-of-the-art Total Body PET/CT is being installed and will be online soon. Appointments will be made on a 2-year contract basis initially, with extension options available.

The mission of CIRC is to provide a shared national resource for translational molecular imaging research, foster collaborations between scientists and clinicians, and support the development of human capital.

The expert radiographer plays a key role in our pursuit to become a leading centre for advanced clinical imaging research and drive the translation of imaging biomarkers into clinical practice.

The primary objective of this role is to conduct PET imaging research studies using human volunteers and research subjects.

  • MRI-trained Radiographer with at least a few years of MRI working experience, preferably with knowledge of basic cardiac scans.
  • Sound knowledge of imaging technicalities and clinical anatomy is required to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Responsibility and attention to detail are essential for daily quality checks (QC) on all equipment, ensuring QC records are properly kept and essential equipment is well-maintained.
  • Teamwork is necessary to assist with day-to-day organization and management of PET projects.
  • A strong interest in research is essential, with a desire to learn and set up new scan protocols.
  • Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) is mandatory.
  • Training in PET-MR imaging will be provided for those without prior such experience.
  • Candidates with relevant clinical experience may be considered for senior positions.
