Job Overview

This is a leadership role that oversees the global inventory management team.

  • Develop annual financial plans for strategic presentation and approval by senior committee members.
  • Provide comprehensive forecasts and sales, inventory, and margin data for various departments within the organization.
  • Communicate inventory position, budget performance, and re-forecasting information to top-level executives.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills while communicating overall strategy and financial objectives across all functional areas of the organization.
  • Identify business opportunities and implement appropriate action to maximize financial returns.
  • Review current business operations and take necessary steps to optimize inventory productivity on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Develop and submit accurate monthly sales data to finance teams.
  • Regularly review business performance with executive merchandising staff, identify trends, opportunities, and required actions to maximize objectives.
  • Ensure optimal inventory flow to achieve desired in-stock rates for floor sets and catalog drops.
  • Partner with mail order and internet distribution channels to maximize inventory opportunities and minimize liabilities for the brand.
  • Play an active role in recruiting, hiring, and developing staff to enhance retention.
