Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Product and Payment Services Risk Director in our Asia Pacific Corporate Risk team. This position will play a pivotal part in shaping the strategic direction of our product and payment services businesses.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of risk management principles, with a proven track record of success in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within complex business environments.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to drive risk oversight, embed risk management into product development, and cultivate a culture of risk awareness across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Oversight: Provide second-line risk oversight for Visa's product and payment services businesses, including core product verticals, Value-Added Services (VAS), and Visa Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS).
  • Risk Management: Embed risk management into product development, commercialization, and operational execution, ensuring alignment with our risk appetite and control frameworks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with Product Risk and Regional Risk teams, driving business readiness for product-related regulatory compliance, and aggregating and communicating risk profiles across PPSR units.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global organization.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in corporate/risk governance, risk management, compliance, product risk, or related areas.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Corporate/Risk Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Product Risk, or related areas
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem and regulatory trends
  • Proven ability to assess and mitigate strategic, operational, technology, and compliance risks
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of local regulations and guidelines related to risk management in the digital payments industry
