Pastry Baker Job Description

As a skilled Pastry Baker, you will be responsible for preparing, baking and presenting a wide range of high-quality chocolate cakes, gourmet cakes, cookies and pastries. You will need to meet and adhere to our company's process specifications.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Measuring, weighing and preparing ingredients needed for daily production
  • Baking and decorating cakes and pastries to the highest standards
  • Operating and maintaining baking equipment and tools
  • Ensuring proper handling and storage of all ingredients in accordance with sanitation and health regulations
  • Maintaining clean and tidy workstations with proper hygiene practices

Requirements:

To be successful as a Pastry Baker, you will need:

  • A diploma in pastry baking or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in volume production of baked goods such as pastry, cakes and breads and cookies
  • WSQ Basic Food and Hygiene Course Certificate
