Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and decorating, with excellent knowledge of materials and techniques.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing walls and surfaces for painting, mixing paint and other materials, and applying finishes according to instructions. They will also need to take and adhere to all health and safety precautions, and be willing to work after regular hours if required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare walls and surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding and removing old paint.
  • Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture.
  • Apply finishes according to instructions.
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
  • Work after regular hours if required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience as a painter.
  • Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix and apply them.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.

Desirable Skills:

  • Able to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
